Ever wondered about the magnificent photos taken back then? Some would say the photographer alone captures the essence of the subject as shown on film, but, there is another way round to it, even through analogue means.

Enter the darkroom – the place where the magic happens. Sounds cliché but it is arguably one of the best tools there were in enhancing the photographs back then. All of it was done in the confines of the dark and chemical filled corners of a pitch black room. As long time Magnum Photos big man Pablo Inirio shares, there is really more to a photograph than plain imagery.
